2977lights.com is operated by 2977 Lights, a fiscally sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation, at 101 Monitor St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Press enquiries are handled by 42West. You can reach a person at press@2977lights.com.
What this site is
A record of 2,977 Lights Over New York Harbor, a commemorative public art installation presented on the evening of Wednesday 9 September 2026 for the 25th anniversary of 9/11: 2,977 lights, one for each life lost, rising over New York Harbor. It was free and open to the public. This site exists so that the work, and the people who shaped it, can be read about after the fact.
Accuracy
The account here is published in good faith and describes an evening that has taken place. Where the words of families, survivors and responders are quoted, they are quoted as given.

The photographs and film on this site are the property of the production and its photographers. The quoted words belong to the people who said them.
