Privacy notice

This site no longer collects personal information. There are no forms on it. What follows is a plain account of the little that is still gathered, and of the list that existed before the installation.

Who runs this site

This notice is issued by 2977 Lights, a fiscally sponsored project of the New York Foundation for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation, at 101 Monitor St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. You can reach a person at press@2977lights.com.

What we collect now

Nothing that you type. The site has no forms, no sign-up and no account of any kind. You can read every page of it without telling us anything about yourself.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records things like the page you are on, the approximate region you are in and the kind of device you are using, and it sets identifiers in your browser to do so. It is not used for advertising, it is not linked to any name, and we do not sell or share it. Browser settings and tracker blockers stop it, and nothing on this site breaks if you block it.

The mailing list that existed before

Until the installation on 9 September 2026 this site offered viewing information by email, and some people gave an address, and in some cases a name, location, social handle or publication. That list is held by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.) and is being deleted 30 days after the installation. Nothing further is sent to it.

Your choices

To have any record of you deleted before then, write to press@2977lights.com and it will be done.

Changes

If this site ever starts collecting something again, this notice will say so before it does, and the date above will change.
